There was no way this week could live up to last week, so it was already doomed from the start. Perhaps the only bright spot was an impromptu date with the boy I have butterflies for (could I sound anymore like a teenage girl? </chandlerbing>). It was a short one over coffee but a good one. Though since I’m such a dating ruh-tard, I really have no clue what I’m doing. But that’s a whole ‘nother story for ‘nother time.
Naturally, I didn’t work out Monday, but I had every intention of doing so Tuesday. And Wednesday. But it didn’t happen. Long days at work make for a very tired and unmotivated Mae. Yesterday was very close to a failure as well, but I managed to get some Couch 2 5K and makeshift circuit training in.
When I got home from work today, the first thing I did was strip off my work clothes and climb into bed. It was so tempting to fall asleep, but instead I got up and put my workout clothes on. I didn’t plan on working out just yet, but I figure if I at least change, there’s a better chance of me actually doing something active.
After a couple hours of dancing around and singing in my living room, successfully scaring the crap out of Bowie, I got on the treadmill to finish up week 2, day 3 of Couch 2 5K. You’re supposed to give yourself a day or two of rest in between, but I’m a rebel. When I finished, I broke out the stability ball and did a few exercises with it. Plank push-ups, squats, and abs. You should’ve seen my face when I was done. It was melting off. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and I literally jumped from fright.
I can at least say that I’ve been eating incredibly well this week, even started eating blueberries. I used to hate those little blue, teeth-staining balls. But when I throw them into my Fage 0%, it’s great! My points reset tomorrow night, and I’ve still got 46 weeklies and 19 activities. Yeah, probably just let those expire rather than gorge myself tomorrow. Though I am having lunch with a good friend, so, maybe… nahhhh. I’ll be good.
